We had the ground bison taco and we loved it. It was packed full of flavor and very fresh. All of the toppings just added to it. We wanted the bison ribs, but they were out both days we tried. Go early! The staff here is incredible and the restaurant is clean. Do not miss out on this unique dining experience while in Denver.

Found this spot on a list on eater and decided to stop by since we wanted to try bison. We got the bison ribs and a bowl. The food was super yummy. The Indian taco is really similar to a Chinese pastry called yotiao but this one was much fluffier on the inside and crunchy on the outside. A superb standout was also the berry bbq also. The staff was super friendly and were great to talk to also!

OKAYYY!!!. This place is a 10/10! My friend recommended it to me while I was in Denver so I stopped for dinner after hiking all day and I wasn't disappointed!! I got the fried bread stuffed with shredded bison (her recommendation) with hominy, corn, and lettuce on top. Their sauces are absolutely bomb! I got the chipotle , hot sauce, and sour cream on the side. Yes all three. lol. The portions are huuuugeeee and the ingredients are sooooooo fresh. Everything was mouthwatering and seasoned to PERFECTION. I was getting a kick of spice (possibly from the huminy??). I'm unsure but it was deliciiioussss. The staff was also very friendly and clean inside! I like how it's make your own bowl so it's quick, and they have lots of seating and street parking. Also, my first time having Native American food. It's a ten for me!

Tocabe is an innovative eatery introducing Native American flavors and ingredients in a fast-casual, build-your-own concept restaurant. You could choose between salads and bowls, but a more characteristic dish was the Indian taco, built on a soft, chewy deep-fried dough with various toppings. I got mine topped with chili beans (beans cooked with peppers and onions), lettuce, shredded cheddar, Osace hominy (large corn kernels mixed with cranberries, red onions, cilantro), and hot tomato salsa. My choice of protein was the juicy braised shredded bison, cured with a dry rub and slow-braised in bison stock. The taco was topped off with drizzles of sour cream and ancho chipotle sauce, which made for a colorful, decorative topping. Overall, this was a great place for trying out Native American flavors in an approachable format, and everything came at a good value too!

Excellent food -- by far the best I've had in a week of staying in Denver. I had the frybread (Indian taco on the menu), with the shredded bison and chipotle sauce, and really liked it -- just dont think about how man calories the frybread is :D

On our last full day in December we went to Tocabe for dinner and it was our best, most delicious meal! I had the bowl, vegetarian, and a can of Bow and Arrow beer -- an Indigenous woman-owned brewery. Go for the delicious food, the lovely vibe, with a great mix of people. It was like a Chipotle, in that you order/pick items from trays in front and someone guides you through the process

Bro, I read a review that they said the food was saltless. That person could not be any more wrong. The food was amazing. Well balanced with the seasoning. I tried to get the ribs but I was too late as they sold out. Got the Indian taco instead. It was shredded bison. Taste just like Mexican shredded beef. The serving is good. I was satisfied with what I paid. Got the fry bread nuggets too. Things were like little donuts. I wanted to get another box but couldn't go in overload. The location seemed good. No issues. Nice vibe inside. Choice to eat in or out. The best part was the service. Not sure the name of the dude but it was the definition of good customer service. Friendly and kind. Seemed like he wanted to be there. Very helpful with picking my food. 6/5

Loved it, delicious and fast friendly service. Fry bread nuggets are a must if you have a sweet tooth like me. I got the fry bread base with chicken and many fresh toppings. Portion was huge and could be two meals if you plan ahead. There's parking in the lot and seating inside and outside.

I am always looking for indigenous food after having visited Wahpepahs Kitchen in San Fran. We don't have any on the east coast My boyfriend found Tocabe and without even asking took us straight there! The location is in a convenient low traffic area so parking isn't bad. There is outdoor seating (though it was up for cleaning when we stopped by.) Inside you will go up to the counter to order your bowl that Tocabe's employees will make in front of you. We got the shredded bison posu bowl and a side of bread nuggets. Both were really good. I was trying to remember everything so I could make my own bowl back in SC but Tocabe later reached out and informed me they ship out Harvest Meals! I love this and am looking forward to supporting their business from across the way. If you're in the area I highly recommend. The food is great and the staff is very kind.
